Teppanyaki Bar Perth

In the previous blog we went into the history of Teppanyaki and how much was started by Rocky Aoki in the west in New York in the 60s. We touched on some of the major points but we also talked about the tricks that we performed in each session which differentiated between and eating session and an entertainment session, melding the two together.

Although there are many tricks that are performed in Teppanyaki restaurants and some of these tricks we have to say are not performed here at Tsunami’s Teppanyaki Bar in Mosman Park because, well, the boss doesn’t like some, actually probably only one. That is the trick of flicking food into people’s mouse. He thinks it’s gross and while it is very normal and traditional even to flick food into people’s mouths in a Teppanyaki restaurant we don’t do it here. And a lot of customers will silently thank us for that. We never did understand it actually, who wants food flicked with a spatula into your mouth and mainly missing it most of the time and making your dress or shirt dirty and the floor messy?

Anyway the tricks that are more common are the ones that we like to do at Tsunami’s Teppanyaki Bar in Mosman Park are the following. We love the spatula show. This is one where the chef has to spatulas and he flicked them in the air and juggles them like a professional. Really cool thing actually to do is when you see this spatula show if you get out your iPhone and select the slow motion mode and take a video of the show in slow motion. We think it is a fantastic video show and your friends will love it and we highly recommend you post it to Facebook or Instagram.

Anyway it looks like we’ve run out of space. In the next blog we will talk more about the tricks of teppanyaki as that when you book your teppanyaki birthday dinner in Perth you will come and see us in Mosman Park and dine and see the show. It’s great fun.
